One Name Says It All. No one knows drummers or the art and experience of percussion better than Zildjian.

  Box Sets

There’s no better way to quickly outfit your setup with all the necessary colors. Our box sets are hand picked at the factory to create a setup that you’ll love.

  Crashes

Cymbals with personality. Once you have selected your Ride and HiHat, you are ready to branch out to Crashes and Splashes. There are no limits to the number or variety of these cymbals you should include in your set-up. Pitch and size should play a role in how you select your Crashes. What makes a great Crash? There are endless sound possibilities for each individual crash cymbal. Therefore, it is important to select your crash cymbals in relation to the other cymbals in your set-up. Good pitch intervals between your crashes, as well as a wide range of sounds will help to make your sound more effective.

  HiHats

The heart of your set-up. The HiHat is a timekeeping necessity for all drummers. Because the HiHat and the Ride both play a part in keeping time, the relationship between them is very important. Ideally they should be selected together, and they should sonically complement each other. What makes a great HiHat? For the majority of HiHat combinations, the bottom cymbal is heavier than the top cymbal. This will ensure a good clean "chick" sound. It is also important that the volume of your HiHats is in balance with your snare and bass drums.

  Rides

More than just a timekeeper. The Ride cymbal is an integral part of every cymbal set-up, from acoustic jazz to heavy rock. It pushes along the chorus of a rock tune with just the right contrast, and it is the most coveted possession for the serious jazz drummer. No matter how you use it, the distinct sound, along with its flexibility to voice both riding and accents opens up unlimited possibilities for the drummer. What makes a great Ride? There are two ends to the Ride cymbal spectrum. On one side is a dry cymbal with few overtones and highly pronounced stick definition. On the other end is a ride with plenty of spread and overtones, and with more delicate stick definition. Zildjian offers both of these extremes and everything between, to give you every possible option.

  Special Effects

The finishing touches. These are probably the last cymbals you will add to your set-up. They produce a unique sound that is ideal for dramatic, explosive accents. What makes a great Special Effects cymbal? FX cymbals can be a means to define yourself from the pack with exciting and different sounds. You may find a sound that you’ve only imagined in your head. Or perhaps we’ve created something that you’ve never heard or considered before. The point is, the best way to explore the FX line is to go out and try them!
